Dr. Laura Airas’ visit - October 3-4, 2023

Dr. Laura Airas, internationally renown expert in MS, visited us from University of Turku. Dr. La Piana hosted her for the Killam Seminar Series, where she gave a wonderful talk on PET imaging in MS to capture activated microglia.

Roberta and Laura have known each other since 2017, when Laura first visited the Neuro while on a sabbatical at Yale University. Since then, Laura is a member of the WM Rounds Network and a collaborator of our lab.

One of the highlights of the visit was undoubtedly the lunch with trainees. Laura and 9 brilliant, super passionate students in Neuroscience went out for lunch and chats. Thank you, Laura! Looking forward to your next visit.
